Sending Push Notifications to Tapcart Shoppers Using Wishlist Plus Data via Klaviyo

Overview

This playbook helps Shopify merchants who use Tapcart and Klaviyo to activate high-performing, automated push notifications based on Wishlist Plus shopper behavior, such as product wishlisting, price drops, and back-in-stock events.

How To Implement

Pre-Integration Checklist

Requirement Details
Wishlist Plus App Must be installed and on Starter tier or above
Tapcart Dashboard Access Needed to enter integration credentials
Klaviyo Account For configuring automated campaigns and notifications
Shopify Admin Access Required to manage app connections

Integration Setup

Step 1: Request API Credentials from Wishlist Plus

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Wishlist Plus.
  2. In the Wishlist Plus dashboard:
    • Click the chat icon at the bottom-right corner.
    • Or click Submit Request.
  3. Send a request for:
    • API Key
    • PID
    • API Endpoint
    • Authorization Token (if applicable)
  4. Include your store name and .myshopify.com URL.

Hi Wishlist Plus team,

My store name is Green Balconies, and our Shopify URL is http://greenbalconies.myshopify.com/

We’d like to integrate Wishlist Plus with Tapcart to enable push notifications via Klaviyo. Please share the following details:
- API Key
- PID
- API Endpoint
- Authorization Token (if applicable)

Step 2: Add Credentials to Tapcart

Once you have the above credentials, perform the below steps:

  1. Log in to your Tapcart Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
  3. Select Wishlist Plus.
  4. Enter:
    • PID
    • API Endpoint
    • Authorization Token
  5. Click Update Integration to complete the setup.

    • Wishlist reminders

  • Build high-intent Wishlist-based segments.
  • Drive re-engagement using dynamic, personalized campaigns.

How to Connect Klaviyo with Wishlist Plus

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Wishlist Plus.
  2. In the Wishlist Plus dashboard, click the Integrations tab.
  3. Find the Klaviyo integration.
    • If already connected: ✅ You’re good!
    • If not connected: Click Connect and authorize Klaviyo access.
  4. and follow the prompts to authorize and complete the integration.

Pushing Wishlist Plus events to Klaviyo

Once both integrations (Tapcart + Klaviyo) are live:

  1. Go to the Marketing tab in the Wishlist Plus dashboard.
  2. Enable automations like:
    • Wishlist Reminder
    • Price Drop
    • Back in Stock
    • Low Stock
  3. These triggers will now start sending events based on the configurations.

Configure Push Notifications in Klaviyo

Once all three systems are integrated - Tapcart ↔ Wishlist Plus ↔ Klaviyo - you can start sending push notifications.

Steps to Set Up:

  1. Open your Klaviyo account
  2. Navigate to Flows
  3. Create a new flow or edit an existing one
  4. Add Action → Choose Push Notification
  5. Use dynamic data like product name, image, and wishlist events
  6. Choose the option to Open App when the notification is tapped

Sending Shoppers to Specific Products or Collections

To drive better engagement, you can configure the push notification to direct the shopper to a specific product page, collection, or even their Wishlist within your mobile app. This is possible via configuring deep links.


Steps for Deep Linking:

  1. Open the Message Editor: Enter your push notification content.
  2. Locate the "Behaviors" Tab: On the left-hand menu, find and click on the "Behaviors" tab.
  3. Select "Deep Link": In the push notification setup under "Open Action," choose the Deep Link option from the dropdown.
  4. Enter the Deep Link(s): Provide the destination URL for both iOS and Android. If the URLs are the same, enter the same value in both fields.
    • Example: Send shoppers to their Wishlist: yourapp://wishlist
    • Example: Send shoppers to a product: yourapp://product/12345
  5. Save and Send: Click "Next" to finalize your message and activate the push.

Optional Filters to Refine Push Targeting:

You can apply filters to trigger only for shoppers who:

  • Only subscribed shoppers who can receive mobile push notifications.
  • Shoppers who did not make a purchase in the last X days.
  • Engaged in the last 30 days.
  • Has not received the same Push notification in the last X days.
  • And other applicable filters.

Test Before You Go Live

  • Use Klaviyo’s preview and test features for push flows
  • Monitor Tapcart dashboard for push delivery stats
  • A/B test different messaging formats for performance
  • You can add push notifications and emails within the same Klaviyo flow. Use simple conditions to control when each message type is sent, helping you avoid spamming your shoppers and ensuring a consistent experience across channels
